My name is Lech Sokolowski, I was born on the 11th of April 1986 in Eastern Poland, not far away from the city of Bialystok where I've finished Architectural studies in year 2010. I've been interested in various forms of art since my youth and by developing my drawing skills during the studies I've also decided to learn general CG techniques which later turned out to become my passion.
During the studies I've been doing various freelance jobs, mostly architectural visualizations. Since November 2009 I've been working in Evermotion Studio as a 3D Generalist. I was responsible for modeling and texturing for commercial purposes, but also did quite a few interior setups and rendering post-production.
Last year I spent most of my free time learning various digital techniques and searching for a new methods of artistic expression. I've also managed to finish my school with Master of Arts in Architecture degree. During that time I took part in a few rendering competitions and did some freelance jobs for private clients.
As a student I've become a big fan of OpenSource software and that's the reason why my favorite 3D tool since today is Blender. Working as a professional in Evermotion I've learned basic studio pipeline and industry standard software such as 3D Studio Max, V-Ray, After Effects and Photoshop. I also have solid experience and understanding of CAD applications. Planning to work as a 3D artist, I've also learned basics of Maya, Cinema 4D and Nuke.
Currently running my own Studio.
